"Third Glacier", oil painting of Alaska by Lisa, 11 3/4" x 11 3/4"
Lisa and I, and a dear friend VJ, visited Alaska last year. The sights were breathtaking, the mountains beautiful, and the glaciers- unreal and ephemeral in their gigantic presence. Lisa captured this beauty in a couple of paintings- hopefully a new series of work. One can see the wall of glistening blue ice, and chunks of drifting ice in the water, all amidst the reflection of the pink sky at sunset.
The painting is made with oils on a maple panel, 1/2" thick.
